Cameo in PowerPoint Live
This update integrates your Teams camera feed into your presentation, allowing you to customise how and where you want to appear in your slides. It also offers layout recommendations for optimal viewing. This update is now live.

Schedule Send for Teams Chat
Teams will be introducing a scheduling feature that allows users to schedule a chat message to be sent at a specific time (most useful to those with team members or clients in different time zones). Feature due to go live in early November 2022.

Collaborate in Teams Meeting with Excel Live
Teams will soon have the added functionality of allowing the use of an Excel workbook in video meetings. This feature was expected to be completed in late November 2022 and go live soon after.

As it stands, if you search for something specific in a Teams messaging it will only display that portion of the conversation. This update will allow users to view the full chat thread when the search function is used, providing complete context of the conversation. This feature is due to go live later October/early November 2022.
Quick Access Teams and SharePoint Document Libraries in win32 backstage
This feature will enable users to access shared libraries from both their SharePoint and Teams locations, adding more ability to share and collaborate in Teams meetings. This additional functionality is due to go live in late January/early February 2023.

Automatically view up to 49 videos in Team meetings
Users will be able to automatically see up to 49 video feeds during a meeting without changing settings (currently limited to 20 by default). This feature is now live and available.

Meeting effectiveness surveys and plans coming in Microsoft Viva Insights app in Teams
This will allow meeting organisers to view feedback from attendees (requires Viva Insights license). This feature is expected to go live around the end of October or early November 2022.
Microsoft Places
New tools allowing users to schedule space at an office, or to schedule their intentions to be working from home or in the office on specific days. This can be a useful tool for those businesses operating a hybrid working environment from a resource allocation/availability perspective. Launch date currently TBA, although will be at some point in 2023.
Centre-of-the-room Intelligent Camera
The Yealink ‘Smartvision 60’ intelligent camera will link with MS Teams, with the ability to pan around the room and focus on the speaking attendee. Release date of early 2023.
Cisco
Cisco will soon become a Microsoft Teams Rooms Certified Device partner. They are scheduled to release their first wave of devices for Microsoft Teams Rooms in early 2023.
Microsoft Outlook – Cloud Signatures coming soon
Clients with this enhancement will migrate local signatures to the cloud automatically, no manual steps will be required. Estimated release date was end of October, although it was noted that this could change due to ongoing beta testing.
